For this documentary series, awarded the Grimme Prize in 2026, miniature sets took the place of conventional reenactments. They were meant to remain recognisable as models while making crime scenes, distances and spatial relationships tangible. Working closely with the model-making team, we combined film fixtures, miniature street lamps and small custom-built LEDs. The challenge was to keep practicals, room lighting and tiny accents in proportion, without overwhelming the models.
